I held the position of Director of Technology for both the Island Def Jam Motown and Republic Label Groups. A combination of IT and tactical marketing; I like to think of myself as a creative marketing technologist.I've worked with the largest and most socially engaged artists including Justin Bieber, Kanye West, and Rihanna to execute digital experiences focused on driving revenue, collecting data, and generating awareness. IDJ Republic is the largest label group in the entire world and with that comes many challenges and opportunity. I've spent days in Photoshop and text editors, others vetting potential partners, meeting with startups, and forecasting revenue for D2C ecommerce. I've introduced new technologies such as JanRain, standardized the group on Google Analytics, developed the first label app for Spotify (Def Jam), and was even able to SEO keywords such as "parachute" so Parachute the band shows up on Google ahead of skydiving. The list goes on.You'll see in my profile a wide range of experience ranging from pure IT, to bizdev, marketing, development, mobile, advertising, sales and management. I've worn many hats and am comfortable doing so. I come equipped with technology chops and a brain for marketing. I feel comfortable speaking to people at any level of an organization, and get along with most everyone. A quick study, I am able to learn, adapt and reach efficiency faster than most.
