Alexander Marquardt is a Partner in the Paris office of Kramer Levin. His international practice focuses on arbitrations and mergers and acquisitions.A dual national (Austrian-German) and a member of the Paris Bar and the New York Bar, his career has included work in private equity, structured finance and securitizations for multinational financial service clients. A frequent author and speaker on the topics of corporate finance and arbitration, he is an active member of the American Bar Association, the International Bar Association, the Union Internationale des Avocats and several arbitration associations. He is a member of the Panel of Arbitrators of the International Centre for Dispute Resolution, the international division of the American Arbitration Association. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the International Law Institute - African Centre for Legal Excellence. In December 2014, he was designated by the Government of Austria to serve on the Panel of Arbitrators of the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes, a member of the World Bank Group, for a six-year term.
