Intrusion Detection capability for OneDrive - identified monitoring requirements, integrated monitoring components, tuned resource utilization, deployed them to thousands of OneDrive servers and created detections that run periodically on the monitored data and alert the security monitoring team. SQL Query Auditing capability for OneDrive - researched and prototyped various means to enable SQL Query Auditing, selected the tech and deployed the tech with minimal performance overhead and best configuration capability, enabled pushing of the audit log to Microsoft's big data system (COSMOS) for analysis. Reporting on OneDrive stateful metadata - enabled reporting on stateful metadata in OneDrive by periodically pushing the metadata to Microsoft's big data system (COSMOS) after stripping/obfuscating all PII. Created extensive samples to demonstrate the usage and power of the data. The framework is used by OneDrive team members in various capacities including feature usage and impact, planning new work, etc.HA-DR and Upgrade of OneDrive Storage System - integrated SLAM (SQL deployment and failover action manager) across the OneDrive backend to manage upgrades and failovers of thousands of SQL HA-DR databases. Designed and developed workflow for upgrading OneDrive's single master databases.Networking configuration of OneDrive servers - designed and developed packages that set gateways and network routes for smart TCP/IP routing of network packets within the OneDrive service and across high traffic partners. OneDrive Job System support for distributed Job assignment - performed migration of Job System across two service management technologies as we moved management of OneDrive from Autopilot to AquaMan during the rapid and massive (10x) growth of service. An important aspect of migration was providing the list of healthy Job servers in real time to the assignment system so that Jobs can be run effectively in a well balanced, distributed manner.

System level monitoring, alerting and automated repairs - designed the system level monitoring strategy, integrated the monitoring with smart alerting and automated repairs as we worked towards lights-out service management. Scope spanned all 3 tiers of the service - backends, middle tier and front ends, several thousands servers, with the goal to minimize human engagement to manage the service. Dogfood user routing - perform smart, in-application (web service) routing to dogfood version of the service for users that have opted into the dogfood program. Scope spanned 4 websites and 3 api services. The biggest win was consistent dogfood experience for dogfood users and complete service coverage during the dogfood phase. Gradual Deployment proxy routing - integrated IIS's ARR proxy into OneDrive and 6 other websites to support in-application proxy routing to provide service version affinity to users when the websites were being upgraded. OneDrive.com and profile.live.com - developed web pages and business logic around photos experience on OneDrive and social experience on the profile website.
