With the Boston Consulting Group, I was primarily focused on healthcare strategy, supporting firms along the healthcare value chain, including large payers, providers, and biopharmaceutical manufacturers. Working closely with clients, I helped develop go-to-market strategies for new product and service launches.

The University of Chicago Consulting Club is one of the primary information sources regarding consulting on campus for both undergraduate and graduate students. The organization plans and executes information, networking, and preparatory events for an approximate 1000 student membership. As president, it was my responsibility to delegate tasks to the UCCC Board of Directors, as well as direct the overall mission of the organization. The President also maintains the UCCC financial accounts, is the lead on employer relations, and acts as liaison to the Student Government and administration.

As the planning coordinator, I managed a team of graduate students to successfully hold an annual 250+ participant professional development event. The aim of the Mini-MBA was to create an opportunity for non-business graduate students to get some exposure to business fundamentals, including finance, economics, negotiation, and leadership.

During my tenure at The University of Chicago, I was a Ph.D. candidate in Dr. Sergey Kozmin's laboratory. We focused on the development innovative chemical reactions, the development of skeletally diverse, small molecule libraries, and the biological evaluation of said libraries in various biological systems. My responsibilities were two-fold: I was heavily involved in the synthesis and biological characterization of our small molecules, developing a class of small molecules called indoloquinolizidines, which were demonstrated to modulate mammalian cell calcium homeostasis. Additionally, I was the safety officer for our laboratory, maintaining much of our instrumentation (e.g., flow cytometer, fluorescent microscopes, etc.), chemical inventory, and ensuring training requirements were met in a timely manner.

The Graduate Council is the representative student government for all graduate students at The University of Chicago, representing students across 12 graduate divisions and professional schools. As chairman, I was responsible for directing the overall mission of the Graduate Council, with respect to all operations and initiatives being undertaken by the group (spearheading several initiatives, myself). This included maintenance of our budget, acting as a liaison with administrators and student organizations, and facilitating discussion and debate across multiple forums. I was also responsible for recruiting students to the council and for creating systems of accountability for the representatives.During my tenure I successfully turned the organization around, increasing the visibility to our student constituents and increasing our operating budget by 300% over two years.

Working with both the Graduate Admissions Office and the Department of Chemistry, I have given general and focused campus tours (including lab facilities tours) to incoming and current graduate students.

The Student Government Finance Committee is the main funding portal for student organizations at The University of Chicago. It maintains and allocates a budget of ~$1M through the Annual Allocations process and general funding meetings throughout the year. As a member, I evaluated submitted budgets for efficacy and impact, and rendered decisions related to the fundability of events. As SGFC Chair, I acted as the primary liaison to student organizations, maintaining records of the body's funding decisions. I was also responsible for facilitating discussion and coordinating the approvals process with multiple other student government organizations.

As a fellow at UChicagoTech (The University of Chicago's tech transfer office), I worked with a project team to collect primary and secondary competitive intelligence to evaluate the marketability of UChicago-developed intellectual property and develop go-to-market strategies. The team's recommendations were ultimately presented to internal and external investors.
