- Worked as part of an engineering team to develop cutting-edge CFD tools for simulating complex reacting and non-reacting flows in multiple industrial products such as internal combustion engines (ICE), gas turbines (GT), compressors & turbopumps- Conducted numerical simulations for major gas turbine, pump, and engine manufacturers in the USA, Europe, China, Japan, and India on combustion, heat transfer, conjugate heat transfer, sprays, mixing, reacting flows, etc.- Developed User-Defined Functions (UDF) to accommodate the specific needs of our clients; e.g. flash boiling models for sprays, valve flow distribution calculation for ICE, scavenging efficiency calculation for ICE, cooling simulation for GT- Worked directly with clients to address potential issues with their CFD simulations- Extensive use of clusters to conduct CFD research

- Simulated the scavenging, mixing, combustion processes, and conjugate heat transfer and experimentally tested a medium-bore 2-stroke natural gas engine as my PhD research- Studied, numerically simulated, and analyzed a variety of physical phenomena such as reacting flows, combustion, mixing, etc.- Extensive use of clusters to conduct CFD research- Supervised and helped two Master’s students on instrumentation and baseline testing of a natural gas engine- Designed and simulated a new combustion chamber method for gas turbines, using CFD tools

- Simulated and analyzed the effects of injection pressure on mixing characteristics in the combustion chamber of a large-bore natural gas engine- Designed and characterized the concept of a low-pressure natural gas injection valve
