I managed an R&D department that popped into existence innovative computer vision products for smart parking management.I led a multidisciplinary team of around 20 people composed of, among others, project managers, electronic engineers, computer vision experts, programmers and software designers.

I was working mainly on the creation of its SmartLPR product. I was the main designer and programmer of an embedded license plate recognition system.It involved learning computer vision, linux kernel programming, scene illumination, CMOS sensors, and some mechanical design.Years later, the resulting product is yet the main source of income of the company.

During a year and a half, I managed the R&D department of ParkHelp. At that time it was the provider of parking solutions with more parking places installed, over half a million places. I was responsible of creating a new family of parking detectors using cutting edge technology.I lead a team of electronic engineers, firmware and software programmers.

I was in charge of the development of all the projects that we build for our customers. I learned how to lead a team, project management, and negotiation with customers and providers.

I started as a Visual Basic/Visual C++ programmer creating custom made programs for our customers, mainly in the industrial field. Then I gained experience in software design and started to do all the software design. Finally I also made the object oriented analysis of all the solutions in direct contact with our clients.
