I am a Litigator and Mediator focused on resolving disputes. In my litigation practice, I have represent and counsel wide array of clients including employers, premises owners, transportation brokers & carriers, service providers, security companies, aviation companies, insurers, suppliers and manufacturers in civil litigation matters including personal injury, labor & employment, workers' compensation, premises liability, transportation/logistics, security, first party insurance, general aviation, commercial, product liability and toxic tort. Whether serving clients as litigator or counselor, my objective is to provide responsive, high quality and cost-effective legal services. As a bilingual mediator, I am available to help parties to resolve their disputes, whether in active litigation or pre-litigation. I am also available to conduct mediation in Spanish. I lhave had the honor of serving a Chair of the Austin Bar Association's Alternative Dispute Resolution "ADR" Section and as as a Board Member of the Austin Dispute Resolution Center (DRC). I have spoken on numerous occasions on dispute resolution, negotiation and cross cultural mediation. I also enjoy an active Pro Bono practice focused on human rights and immigration related matters. Recent engagements include representing an attorney from Mexico in a case before the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights involving the construction of a dam outside of Mazatlan, Mexico; undertaking an investigation of a gold-mining operation in the Cajamarca region of Peru to determine whether suit could be filed against the mine operator in US court under the Alien Tort Statute, and seeking political asylum for Venezuelan student targeted by Maduro regime for actively participating in anti-regime protests.
