I attended Grand Haven City Council and Board of Light and Power Meetings to gather information, picket, and speak with community members on the issue of non-renewable energy production in the Grand Haven area. Succeeded in securing the support of over 1,000 Grand Haven Citizens (most importantly young individuals) which greatly assisted in convincing the Grand Haven City Council to vote against the Board of Light and Power's proposed plan of a natural gas plant on Harbor Island—a plan of which would have been incredibly detrimental to both the citizens and the biodiversity of the island.
