- Performed student grade monitoring, academic advising, and implement necessary interventions (family conferences, tutoring, disciplinary actions) for 120 middle school students in San Jose Unified School District. - Led the Middle School Virtual+ summer program to ensure quality programming, daily operation, and student/family engagement, while maintaining Breakthrough community and culture. - Oversaw execution of after school programs, with specific focuses on topics such as STEM-based problem-solving activities, high school options, and strengthening Breakthrough identity. - Developed and launched the Junior Admissions Ambassadors program, giving an opportunity for current high school students to assist with the recruitment of the new student cohort. - Conducted parent conferences with families to ensure students are meeting programmatic goals and to re-engage students that have lost communication with program advisor. - Hosted regular workshops for students and families covering various topics including but not limited to: program requirements, high school transitions, community building, and best practices for increasing college-going behaviors. - Recruited students to apply to Breakthrough by collaborating with school-based liaisons, hosting admissions presentations, and conducting targeted phone calls to families. - Maintained student performance, attendance, and survey data utilizing platforms such as Salesforce, Google Workspace, and Survey Monkey.
