I am a scientific researcher at heart with a passion for communicating concepts in a simple, likeable, and coherent manner. I also have a penchant for organisation – be it events, programs, or people. I believe I offer the unique insights of the scientific method and apply it in all my endeavours in my communications profession – meaning I can approach any topic/client or product and analyse and learn about it to proffer a solution that fits the needs of the hour. A career change some may consider unexpected, my journey from the biology lab to a communications agency is one of discovery. Even though science is my first love, making people understand what I did and the difference it made was always something I enjoyed more – and I do think this made me an efficient communicator. I started my career by working in a small but niche firm – which not only offered me a great diversity in clients to work with, but also showed me the ropes of the corporate communications world. I am a dedicated and quick learner, having made my way up the firm in a short time where I could successfully handle clients independently within a year. I have particularly enjoyed working with the Wikimedia Foundation – a mandate that allows me not only to work creatively but also to manage teams and workflows – something I do possess a flair for. I want to continue developing my skillset – both as a communicator and as a project manager to deliver the best solutions through my work.
