- Fully funded internship at the Schratt Lab at the Institute for Neuroscience (under the Amgen scholarship programme, which had an acceptance rate of 2.3% in 2024 in Europe). - Worked on a project focused on the regulation of the miRNA miR-503-5p by the lncRNA MALAT1. - Responsible for the cell culture of HEK293T cells.- Presented our findings at the annual Amgen Symposium held in the University of Cambridge, winning first place in the poster competition in which a scholar is selected from each host institution.

- Self-sourced (volunteer) opportunity working an average of 13-16 weekly hours in Professor Michael Duchen’s lab during term time. - Assisted research in two projects: one focused on metabolic dysfunction in Alzheimer’s disease and the other centred around mitophagy in A3243A>G mutants. - Experience in cell culture through work with human foetal skin fibroblast cell lines and cybrid cell lines.
