As a senior commissioning editor with Penguin Random House India, I looked after the prestigious Penguin Classics’ list, a rich repository of the finest literature from across the Indian subcontinent. In addition, I commissioned contemporary fiction, both originally written in English as well as translated from other Indian languages, working with some of the biggest names in the industry: Perumal Murugan, Fatima Bhutto, Anees Salim, Bapsi Sidhwa, K.R. Meera, Sudhir Kakar, Bibek Debroy, K.R. Meera and Urvashi Butalia, among others. When not immersed in books, I love to dabble in film and theatre.
