As the Head Librarian my roles are diverse. Working from both the office and within the correctional facility, I engage with Facilities Personnel and mediate competing requests from various locations at once. Due to this, my role often emphasizes organization, timeliness, and the ability to truly multitask. I fulfill law-related and recreational-related requests from inmates, upkeeping the library at all times and making sure that as a Non-Profit Service League upholds its standards of serving all inmates with equity. Functioning as a resource-hub, I supervise these libraries to ensure that all incarcerated individuals have access to the literature they need. Skills: – liaising with departmental correctional staff and external organizations – management of staff, including recruitment, training and supervision – cross collaborating and communicating with county officials and non-profit staff

East Palo Alto, Ca

As an assistant translator at the Community Legal Services of East Palo Alto (CLESPA), my role consisted of clerical and administrative work at the Front Desk, processing legal paperwork, and mediating conversation between community members and professional Lawyers and Attorneys. In addition, I had to employ professional lines of communication and maintain a professional demeanor in high-stress and high-emotional environments during my translational assistance. As a result, I was able to gain further bilingual experience, all while gaining first-hand exposure to the inner structure of a non-profit company.
