Amber Macdonald is an accomplished Senior Environmental Scientist with extensive experience in environmental management, underpinned by tertiary qualifications in environmental science, auditing, and law. For around ten years she has worked in the construction industry, where Amber has provided strategic advice, developed environmental management systems, and led compliance audits for large-scale projects, including renewable energy systems and major rail infrastructure.Before transitioning to construction, Amber spent several years working as a Marine Conservation Scientist across Asia and Central America. Her roles included environmental monitoring, reef restoration, and data collection for various ecological monitoring projects. Amber’s leadership and dedication to environmental stewardship were exemplified through her invitation to participate in a four-week expedition to Antarctica with Homeward Bound in 2023. This transformative journey brought together women in STEM from around the world to collaborate on leadership development and climate action.
