My name is Amber Barton. I am Arable sales and Contracts manager, at plant breeder, Limagrain. I manage the cereals seed book and arable sales within the wholesale sales department as well as managing a number of customer accounts. I have recently started managing our busy contracts team allowing me an overview of seed production.Previous roles include; Market Insight and Proposals lead at Agri-EPI Centre, helping to secure funding and deliver insights to start ups and businesses in the agri-tech innovation sphere. Knowledge exchange manager for the East Midlands region at AHDB Potatoes. I also worked on the DEFRA funded Farm Business Resilience project and I worked for AHDB as a senior analyst in their market intelligence function. Prior to my time at AHDB I was on the graduate trainee programme at Branston Ltd where I spent time in different areas including commercial, agronomy and category management. I have a BSc Hons Food and Consumer Studies degree and have completed a 12 month industrial placement as part of it. My placement year was spent working in the NPD team for Pork Farms at their Palethorpes site in Market Drayton. I would consider myself a team player with excellent communication and organisational skills, both written and verbal with a creative streak.My degree covered all areas of the food industry from fresh produce production to animal product processing, New Product Development, Manufacturing Processes and Marketing & sales.
