It wouldn’t be a stretch to say I have a finger in multiple pies. For 4 years I received formal training at Greater Lowell Vocational Technical High School in Graphic Arts Communication and Design, culminating in a web design internship with the school my senior year. Stretching my wings not only creatively but academically I left the school with top honors, an OSHA certification and the title of Valedictorian. I then went onto college as a Biomedical Engineer, immersing myself in science, technology, and the possibilities of the future. Having run out of funding midway through my education I made a pivot to Small Business Management and Entrepreneurship in order to walk away with a degree. My time as a student was littered with extracurriculars and job opportunities, allowing me to serve on multiple executive boards, including the position of Vice President within Zeta Lambda Chi Co-Ed Fraternity, as well as contribute to the creation of the school’s local food pantry project. Post College, I found myself on a Marketing team for Barracuda MSP. Over time my role expanded to running the webinar program – a new skill set to master surrounding camera work, recording and presentations. The Covid Pandemic, as I’m sure it did many, misplaced me from this position. I shifted to the manufacturing industry where I served as a customer service agent and grew my interpersonal skills, inadvertently pushing me into a position of leadership and team management. When an opportunity to directly serve my community in the long fight for health came, I had to take it. I have since been leading teams directly in the field to collect, analyze, and deliver covid samples. Every one of these experiences has built up my skills in new and different ways, leaving me a vast array of knowledge to pull and build from; a jack of “many” trades if you will. I may not be a master in a single field, but I am open and ready to tackle new experiences no matter what may come my way, taking my lessons from the past and applying it forward.
