I have proven experience of working across a wide range of client groups, including, drug and alcohol rehabilitation, survivors of abuse and sexual violence, advanced dementia care and a wide range of learning and physical disabilities. I can work across a range of disciplines, client groups and supporting agencies to deliver and encourage positive and life changing outcomes. I have recently completed a research project on the uses of Dance Movement Psychotherapy with female survivors of sexual violence, focusing on using body focused modalities to work with themes of dissociation and embodied agency. I am an innovative individual passionate about developing my therapeutic career.I contribute effectively within a team as well as working individually; I give leadership to therapy sessions developing a strong therapeutic relationship with positive tangible progress for clients. I take on a person-centered approach to this relationship and take pride in offering personal therapeutic care plans. I take instruction and feedback well and can use my initiative to change therapy sessions and adapt to the clients presenting needs. I combine my therapy training with my extensive experience working in emotional wellbeing and yoga, to create a holistic approach to client welfare. I am motivated by a challenge and enjoy achieving targets and embodying the values of a company or organisation, which enable me to feel part of something and delivering for social good.
