As a lab technician, I maintained all the essential duties of the lab such as flavor/color experimentation, beverage creation, assisting with formulation, vendor sampling, packaging, shipping and receiving of samples, and most importantly, consultation with project managers, to provide updates for the clients. I also performed Inventory checks and would place orders to replenish the lab supplies monthly.Responsible for the procurement of new equipment and negotiating price and discounts available, also procured new supplies, juices, vitamins, sweeteners, and provided research to my colleagues to stay on top of the latest beverage trends. Reviewed weekly schedule and verified we had all supplies needed to fulfil new formulations. Created SOPs (standard operating procedures) for the new equipment to reduce the likelihood of any injuries occurring and ensure operators were properly trained.

Worked with a quality team to develop and implement inspection techniques in the machine shop, where I verified original blue prints were accurate to current machining and sketched out blueprints to scale when the originals were not available. Identified numerous nonconformances to reduce amount of scrap/rework and determine what materials are st ill appropriate for use. Responsible for init ial mechanical inspection and functionality tests after assembly, then performed final inspection on orders when they were ready to be shipped. Worked with quality technician to learn how to process Return Authorization’s and dispositioned the returns on a wee kly basis, always keeping traceability of the original documents with a filing system.

On a management level, provided verification of work orders, incoming components, bulk products and personnel to ensure the finished goods are manufactured to exact customer specifications. Issued lot codes by following format provided by customer and releas ed code to production. Authorized to accept or reject any incoming bulk product, component, or machinery. Completed daily micro reports, luminometer swabs, and verified product matched Certificate of Analysis on products running daily.

Performed destructive testing on Class A and Class S micro-circuits (military and space grade components). Photographed groups and individual parts at multiple angles to document serial numbers, date codes, manufacturers logos, and confirm conditions of micro- circuits prior to application. Recorded dimensions on a percentage of the customer lot. Operated C-SAM microscope and collected data to create reports for customer review. The purpose of testing would be to ensure customers can continue to manufacture products with current materials, or if they needed to update the design for the conditions of application.
