I was a cashier for only about 4 or 5 months before getting promoted to assistant manager. Then I worked as an assistant manager for another 8 months or so before taking over the store manager position. Responsibilities included: scheduling, cash handling, reporting, staffing, payroll, ordering and stocking inventory, customer service and management of 4 other employees.
