In my account managers position, I have been responsible for the following:• Penetrating existing accounts by offering value added services in an effort to become the primary vendor.• Providing a comprehensive business support network.• Provide sales service support including but not limited to; taking sales orders, sales order QC, processing special orders, assisting with A/R duties, and general business administration.• Coordinating sampling, cutting, specialist, and vendor meetings with customers. • Participate in marketing campaigns and sales process by creating, qualifying, and converting leads to opportunities. • Execute and close assigned opportunities for cross selling, up selling, and other marketing campaigns.• Assist in the promotion of and conversion of customers to self-service platforms such as web based order entry, ACH payments, and mobile channels.• Handle customer complaints through to a satisfactory disposition while documenting and reporting such complaints appropriately.• Assist in communications to customers on delivery schedule changes or interruptions due to holidays, delays, or business needs.• Participate in business development efforts and the sales cycle by collaborating on leads and opportunities and recording progress in the CRM system. Timely follow up on all leads and sales requests.
