Community Contributor | Social Services | Spearheading Projects & Initiatives | Human Resources and Operations Contributing to positive change is something I am passionate about. I have been fortunate to work within committed organizations whose mission and focus have resulted in beneficial, lasting effects on the community. Within these principle-centric organizations, my positions have allowed me to make an impact in ways that are important to me, including direct service, supervising and developing staff, and spearheading improvement strategies in human resources and operations.Direct Service: Supported children and families to help improve coping strategies and family/peer interaction. Provided advocacy, helped to develop treatment plans for growth areas and systems for reaching those goals. Provided responsive support and supervision to youth paired one on one with adult volunteers in mentoring relationships. Helped to facilitate impactful, lasting relationships that empowered youth in our community.Supervision: Supervised others who oversee our clients. I realize my commitment to enhancing lives and communities is also influenced by working through others. Getting to know my staff is critical to better identify their strengths and target areas for additional support.Operations & Systems: Improved the training and support provided to the volunteers and youth matched in the BBBS mentoring program resulting in longer, more impactful relationships. By streamlining the hiring process, developing improved job descriptions, and targeting recruitment sources, I am able to find highly qualified staff. Identified and developed professional growth and development opportunities helping sustain a highly effective and skilled staff.
