Working collaboratively with the Minnesota Department of Education and the Regional Literacy Network team, I facilitate and document state approved literacy professional development, provide Local Literacy Plan technical assistance, support Universal and Dyslexia screening administration and data interpretation, and provide Site-based Literacy Coaching support.

Designed and delivered literacy methods course providing instruction and experiences focused on current best practices in upper elementary literacy instruction specifically around structured literacy.Supervised students in practicum experiences in a variety of settings.

Experienced in teaching grades 1, 2, middle school social studies and special education. Collaborated with colleagues on special projects for interventions, curriculum selection, district assessment teams, and elementary reconfiguration team.

Educator for students in a fifth and sixth grade multi-age classroom. Subjects taught included Literacy, Math, Social Studies, and Science. Collaboration with grade level teachers and specialists. Heavy emphasis on communication and partnering with parents and guardians of students through curriculum decisions, school development, and other special interest committees. In addition to teaching duties, I also guided student council and organized safety patrol.
