Under the State Emergency Management Plan, Emergency Recovery Victoria is responsible for delivering donations management and coordination services during a declared emergency – as a member of the Policy team, this position is responsible for establishing and managing effective partnerships and arrangements with government, philanthropic and charitable organisations and businesses to coordinate and manage donated money, goods and services, ensuring offers of support are best matched to the needs of emergency-affected communities.

A critical role within the State Recovery Operations and Coordination Division, working with regions to lead the delivery of ERV recovery grants programs and stakeholder relationships, specifically the Aboriginal Culture and Healing grants programs and the Local Government Authorities and Community Service Organisations grant program. As a subject matter expert, I am responsible for supporting the design, coordination and delivery of recovery grants programs, and achieve this through fostering strong, meaningful and collaborative relationships with community stakeholders, advocating for continuous improvement, and ensuring a community centric, culturally appropriate and trauma informed approach in prioritised in the delivery of grants programs.

Lead the design, end-end management and coordination of grants programs to deliver positive outcomes for disaster affected communities; and lead, manage and motivate a high performing team (3.6FTE) with significant responsibilities and strategic importance.

This short-term contract position was responsible for developing fundamental strategies to assist in growing philanthropic support for Australian Progress’ core and program work.

As a senior member of the HMST Grants Team, I was responsible for the day-to-day management of the grants program and contributed to the development of grants management policies, practices, strategic direction, and monitoring and evaluation frameworks, ensuring best practice grant making and driving improvements and efficiencies to achieve deeper social impact. This position required a high level of engagement and insight into the community, health, environment, education, arts and employment sectors.

This was a senior management role and 2IC of the organisation. The position included the development and implementation of strategic planning, review and development of key policy and human resources documents, development of programs to diversify and enhance donor income, line management of staff, stakeholder and donor relationship management, management of all fundraising, grants, communications, website/database and media, management of meeting room booking system, facility and contract management, leading and facilitating community engagement, community events, learning and capacity building programs, and regulatory and contractual compliance management. During my time at Ross House Association, I was a member of the Committee of Management, and a member of the Governance, Strategic Planning, Fundraising & Development and Environmental Sustainability sub-committees and appointed Acting CEO on nine occasions.

As Communications Account Manager, I managed communications relating to Emergency Services (domestic and international), ensuring communications were brand compliant, relevant to the target audience, high quality, on time and coordinated with other Red Cross media and marketing messages.

As MFC Manager, I developed the organisation into a leading not-for-profit environmental education charity by: developing and implementing the marketing, fundraising and communications strategic plans and project managing activities, events and programs where they related to business development, communications, revenue raising, campaign awareness, supporter acquisition, promotion and brand.
