I have always found myself most productive when working directly assisting others to achieve their dreams. In the past I have prided myself in being instrumental in assisting families reach their goal of purchasing their first home. I take this same motivation and drive to prepare the students and motivate graduates to overcome their fear and provide strategies to reduce anxiety during interviews insuring our graduates here at Institute of Technology are hired in a timely manner. As the Director of Career Service at the Institute of Technology, I am responsible for overseeing all aspects of student placement for the Redding campus; Medical Assisting, Medical Billing and Office Administration, Pharmacy Technician, Vocational Nursing, Heating Ventilation & Air Conditioning, Nursing Assistant, and our new program, Physical Therapist Assistant. I am also the Student Life and Career Coordinator for our Massage Program through our sister company , National Holistic Institute. I began working directly with the students and graduates of the Institute of Technology in October 2013. I conduct resume and interview workshops in the classrooms allowing myself to establish relationships with students and preparing them to be employable upon graduation. I plan and organized our bi-annual PAC Meeting (Program Advisory Committee), Vocational Nursing Career Fair, as well as the Career Fair for all the programs at IOT. I assist with clinical affiliations for our Vocational Nursing and Nursing Assistant programs, and anything else needed on campus. Background prior to IOT10+years’ experience as Realtor/Loan officer/Marketing Hiring/training agents and loan officers, direct customer service, sales, loan processing and escrow coordinating. 10+ years’ experience Office manager/constructionHuman Resource responsibilities included hiring, training, orienting and payroll, AR/AP.2 years Personal BankerNew Accounts, auto loans, credit applications and personal banking
