I have previously held an internship at PGCTV, a local community television station, where I helped worked on the show "Ms. Deborah's Tea Room." While there, I operated the CG machine, as well as carrying out other smaller tasks. I uploaded photos, lower-thirds, and other graphics into the machine and operated it during tapings. During my TV production course at PGCC, I produced and directed numerous taped recordings in our classroom studio. I also operated the studio cameras while in class as well. Currently, I am performing as a personal assistant for a short film, "Liberty's Hollow," under Cassanova Productions LLC, where I serve under both the director/writer, Shannon Washington, and the director of photography, Cassano Smith. As a PA I help create schedules, account for all props, keep the director on schedule, and any other task that's needed. I also operated as the camera assistant and ran the slate in order to maintain audio synchronization and the keep track of correct labeling for each and every shot. Lastly, I have also participated in a short apprenticeship at FOX News that spanned over a course of two weeks. While there, I observed the live recordings of "America's Newsroom" from the actual studio, I studied the ins and outs of how the transmissions room is operated during a show, I sat in the control room and observed during "Special Report w/Bret Baier," and I got to see the construction of the new set for the Tucker Carlson show. I have wide experience from behind the scenes of numerous television and film productions, and have seen firsthand how they are run. I will be attending Morgan state university in the fall of 2017 where I will study mass communications. I want to become a film director, director of photography, and editor.
