My name is Amber and I am a second year student studying BA (Hons) Sport Business Management at Leeds Beckett University. I am a hardworking and enthusiastic student, keen to face new challenges and excel in the sporting industry. Alongside my studies, I have a strong passion for sport - in particular, netball, where I have previously been selected for a captaincy role and nominated for a number of trials including Worcestershire County Netball and Severn Stars Netball Franchise Pathway. My current modules are Sports Broadcasting, Strategic Management and Managing People in Sports Organisation. I particularly enjoy the Managing People module, where we look at leadership styles, group dynamics and motivation when working in a sports organisation, as well as the Broadcasting module where I am producing my own podcasts and focusing on how the media changes people's perceptions on sport.I am keen to gain some experience in the sports industry by undertaking roughly 60 hours of work placement. I would love for this experience to be involved in the social media and digital marketing side of an organisation. As well as this, any part-time work opportunities would be highly beneficial and valuable to me and my own development, in order to aid me further in achieving my future career goals.
