Under a supervising attorney, worked directly with clients from the Legal Aid Society of Eastern Virginia drafting divorce complaints, answers, counterclaims, and final decrees. Conducted client interviews and aided in document discovery. Crafted legal proffers for the court in preparation for a pre-equitable distribution hearing. Worked directly with client and opposing counsel to craft a divorce settlement agreement.

Under the guidance of a supervising attorney, assisted the parents of students with disabilities as they sought educational and behavioral accommodations from local school districts. Advocated on behalf of students in discipline matters, mediation, and administrative hearings, as well as, negotiated with districts to develop individualized education plans for students.

Compile data and conduct research on mature minor doctrine and how the doctrine is applied differently between states, United States courts of appeals and the Supreme Court. Researched other issues of statutory interpretation.

Collaborated with the Judge’s clerk to produce a review and order in response to a post-conviction petition. Observed various court proceedings.

Assisted veterans seeking disability benefits from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) under the guidance of a supervising attorney. Interviewed clients, drafted disability claims, and filed briefs in support of pending claims.

Responsible for researching and drafting appellate writs and motions as well as memos on various research projects for three attorneys in different divisions —Special Litigation, Criminal District Court, and Municipal Court. Additionally, I assisted my supervising attorney's workload by interviewing clients, drafting cross-examinations, transcribing police bodycam audio, and assisted in developing defense theories.

Assisted with the day-to-day operations for 3 attorneys, 3 social workers, and a roster of 153 active clients. Screened, coordinated, and tracked the progression of incoming applications as well as maintain archived client files.
