Knowledge transfer fellowship to improve collaboration between the fields of implementation science, improvement science/practice, rapid cycle research and systems engineering co-design framework. Impact is aimed at aligning frameworks and methods that target the evidence to practice gap in health and social care.

o Managing, coordinating and advising on the development of multiple (20-30 at any one time) research projects across healthcare themes to drive high quality and patient priority research ideas for submission to nationally peer reviewed funding competitions (e.g., NIHR, Cancer UK, Medical Research Council). Promoting and facilitating patient/public involvement, implementation design and impact evaluation and an engineering systems design framework for applied health research. Participating in an advisory role in grant development workshops, mock interviews and pre-submission panels. Regular expert contributor to the Clinical Innovators Forum AHSN Event. Recent achievements include the success of three program grants for a total of $11 million for cross functional public health research and working cross functionally to conceive and develop a workshop for 20 senior staff to introduce the use of the systems approach for applied healthcare toolkit and its potential for improving project and program design outputs.

Trauma, Women's Health and Mother/Child Attachment were the research themes. Created, coordinated and managed systems and day-to-day operations. Managed and monitored grant budgets and liaised with accounting and contracts as required. Built strong collaborative working relationships with clinical and academic research partners. Major outcomes: Successfully executed two funded multi-method longitudinal studies, from IRB approval through to recruitment and data collection; co-authored a published paper.

o Assisted medical professionals with patient management, basic diagnostic tests, and recordkeeping for a women's clinic specialising in reproductive health. Regularly performed intake of patients collecting vitals and reviewing symptoms and patient needs ensuring a pleasant experience and a high level of care.

Fertility, women's mental health and social psychology were the research themes. Worked independently and collaboratively to research and publish findings on the psychosocial dimensions of donor insemination as a means of conception and reasons for withdrawing before conception . This included identifying the role of psychosocial resources in women’s decisions to have children, determining how women choose sperm donors, elucidating differences for heterosexual and homosexual women, and developing policies for releasing sperm donor identities to adult offspring. Reported directly to the Head of Research. Publication in Fertility and Sterility.
