Worked collaboratively with decision makers and other stakeholders and potential partners to support policy, programming, and infrastructure decisions to create healthier communities. Focus areas include active transportation/mobility integration, road safety, access to healthy food, urban design, and evaluation/assessment of health outcomes.

Processed development applications and implemented policy direction. Duties included working with developers, analyzing public input, assessing site layout and design features, preparing Council reports, and coordinating with other departments. File managed a diverse range of complex infill and greenfield applications including townhouses, seniors rental.

Participated in a diverse range of community planning activities, including data analysis, modelling, internal and external consultation, materials development, and project support. Project work included working on major plan updates for a Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) neighbourhood and a large greenfield area.

Led all City community sustainability and environmental planning initiatives and programs. Portfolio included both corporate and community programs in the areas of water, waste, energy, land use/natural areas, and transportation. Developed and implemented a number of strategic initiatives and participated in several regional technical committees. Provided.

Led long-range planning initiatives and was the primary author/project manager of the City's Municipal Development Plan re-write. Also completed demographic and land use analysis and provided support on current planning issues as needed.

Developed course curriculum and taught undergraduate and graduate courses in rural planning, GIS and environmental planning methods/applications, and conference planning. Also, supervised teaching assistants and student projects and organized several faculty events.

New Brunswick/Nova Scotia

Managed various health and environmental projects in the non-profit sector. Focus following training as a professional planner was in climate change adaptation and coastal planning. Prior to this, projects areas included volunteer management and addictions related issues.
