This study documents the scale and relevance of national Black-White differences in commute distance, which will inform future, causally rigorous research seeking to quantify its direct impact on racial disparities in health and education outcomes. Responsibilities include: - Identify academic articles and books that use these data- Read and summarize the core findings from these articles in a shared Google Document.- Create an accompanying dataset “guidebook” that lists the key variables.- Develop an initial do-file and file structure that manages the public dataset using STATA.

• Researched relationships between education, housing, homelessness, and healthcare systems, with the impact of the ongoing Opioid Crisis in the DMV area.• Created analysis of the current structure of the DC health, as well as its supplemental programs.• Assisted in creating social media advertisements for DC opioid crisis programs

Member of a 15 week program with a goal of engaging in leadership training. Training involved networking seminars, professional authentic relationship building with peers from around the region. While identifying community challenges, coming up with solutions and exploring ways in which prominent community leaders have taken action in the past. All while learning from the areas most influential change makers about various leadership topics, such as leadership styles, inclusion, social action, and resilience.

Students were tasked with studying multiple types of engineering disciplines; studying infrastructure completed lab activities in chemical, electrical, computer, civil, mechanical engineering, and materials science.
