Forensic/SANE tier III float from 06/19-02/21 & 09/22-Present: Provide patient centered evidence-based trauma informed care that is competent and compassionate to those who are survivors of violence (sexual assault, human trafficking, domestic violence, assault, or elder/vulnerable person/child abuse/neglect) within the hospital system in an acute care setting. This position works in an autonomous capacity, requiring strong time management and multi-tasking skills. Forensic care includes conducting a comprehensive forensic exam, collection and preservation of evidence, detailed charting of assault history and injuries for medical and legal purposes, STI testing, administration of medication for prophylaxis of or treatment for STIs including PEP, administration of medication for pregnancy prevention, providing various resources and referrals, activation of and collaboration with advocacy personnel and law enforcement, coordinating care with physicians and social work to ensure medical and psychosocial needs are met, state reporting, and safe discharge planning as indicated. In addition to direct patient care, the forensic position is responsible for delegation to and consulting with ED nurses on forensic exams as needed, evidence management, patient call backs, chart reviews for quality assurance and providing feedback as needed, creation and presentation of forensic education within the health system and externally and testifying in court when needed. I have completed over 330 forensic consults so far during my employment.

Conducted intake screening, evaluation, and triage of patients within the legal system needing mental health crisis intervention and stabilization. Work within an interdisciplinary team consisting of medical doctors, therapists, and forensic psychologists to create a treatment plan and coordinate care. Engage in psychiatric rehabilitation and intervention by administering and monitoring psychobiological treatment regimens and promoting use of coping mechanisms to achieve recovery goals.

Provided direct patient care as a travel nurse at Saint Louis University Hospital, a level I trauma and teaching hospital, on their liver/renal pre and posttransplant floor.

-Virtual Nurse from 02/21-04/22: Provided virtual assistive and consulting care to nurses for acute patients in the medical/surgical hospital setting. Reviewed charting for quality assurance of policy, procedure, and state regulatory documentation requirements. Provided virtual education to patients about medications, procedures, diagnoses and on discharge instructions. Coordinated care with multidisciplinary team. Completed admit databases for new patients. Monitored lab values and vitals to assess for any trends needing addressed to optimize patient outcomes. -ED tier III float from 06/19-02/21: Provided emergency medical care in a variety of settings; including a level I trauma, advanced comprehensive stroke center, and teaching hospital that is ranked in the top 50 hospitals for cardiology and heart surgery nationally. -ICU tier II float from 11/18-06/19: Responsible for the management and care of critically ill patients in a variety of ICU settings (Cardiac, Cardiovascular, Neuro, Medical/Surgical, and Trauma). -Medical/Intermediate tier II float from 01/18-11/18: Responsible for the management and care of patients in a variety of acute care settings (Ortho, Neuro, Cardiac, Oncology, Stepdown, Medical/Surgical, Intermediate, Short stay, etc.). -Charge Nurse between 07/16-01/18 & 02/21-04/22: Responsible for overseeing PCU and Medical Observation units to aide in patient/floor management, assist with nursing care, addressing of any issues arising during shift, and respond to code blue and rapid response within the hospital.

Due to nature of contract, this position worked in a completely autonomous capacity through the use of medication protocols requiring a strong knowledge foundation, time management and multi-tasking skills. Responsibilities included: conducting a comprehensive forensic exam, collection and preservation of evidence, administration of medication for prophylaxis of STIs, testing for pregnancy, administration of medication for pregnancy prevention, providing of resources and referrals, activation of and collaboration with advocacy personnel and law enforcement, state reporting, and safe discharge planning as indicated. I completed approximately 30 sexual assault consults during my employment.

· Medical /Surgical LPN: Responsible for the management and care of patients with various disease and surgical conditions requiring collaboration with multidisciplinary care team.· Telemetry Technician: Responsible for monitoring up to 21 patients’ cardiac rhythms requiring proficient rhythm identification and managing incoming calls and coordinating appropriately.· Medication Order Entry: Responsible for the computer transcription of written orders requiring knowledge of generic and trade drug names, approved therapeutic substitutes, and appropriate medication timing.· Medical/Surgical CNA: Responsible for providing activities of daily living, obtaining and monitoring vital signs, care for post-procedural and surgical patients.

Responsible for the management and care of residents in a variety of settings (long-term care, rehabilitation, hospice house, and memory care) requiring flexibility and adaptability to the requirements of each unit.
