Hello! You cannot see it right now but I am in a wheelchair. This has posed some unique challenges, but more importantly has also developed unique skills and an attitude of perseverance. From the age of 16 I have been managing a team of personal care assistants which has developed my communication skills. Limited physical strength has taught me how to work smarter, not harder and to focus in the things that are truly important to me, such as my education. I am working to complete my bachelors in general psychology and collaborating with a professor to publish research on improving student memory and attention in the classroom through the use of theater training for the instructor. After graduating I am planning to obtain a masters degree in Industrial Organizational Psychology. I hope to use my skills in statistics and communication to help businesses improve their work environment and give employees the skills and tools they need to flourish in their positions and develop positive communication patterns.
