Hello! I am a third year mechanical engineering student at NC State with a minor in business administration. I have 4 years of experience in customer service working various jobs such as being a cashier and a server at different restaurants. I look forward to expanding my experiences in the near future in order to work toward my career goals. Through my education, I have been able to develop myself as well as my skills. My classes have taught me a lot about how to use Excel, PowerPoint, HTML, and SolidWorks. Overtime, I have became an advanced user in these programs as they have heavily aided my projects. I am excited to learn more in my classes and gain more knowledge on new programs.I thrive in environments where I can demonstrate my problem solving and critical thinking skills to reach my career goals as an engineer. I aim to work with a group of engineers where we can work on design projects together while always putting ethical concerns first. I can combine my previous experience in customer service in order to communicate with my team and work as efficiently as possible. I have learned a lot about what it takes to communicate with people effectively and know I can use that skill in any job in the future. Currently, I am an intern at Road to hire, where I work with other students in teams to reach career development goals. This internship has evolved my leadership skills as I have had the opportunity to lead my team in research projects and have been able to help direct my peers. I am particularly passionate about the significance of being a first generation college student and being able to see that change in people’s lives. Outside of work, I enjoy creative writing and building on SolidWorks. I am always open-minded to trying and learning new things. I look forward to connecting with you!
