Amber McGinnis is a director and writer who often puts her Southern stubbornness to good use by producing her own work. Her feature film debut INTERNATIONAL FALLS won the 2019 FIPRESCI New American Cinema grand jury prize at Seattle International Film Festival and ran the festival circuit at over 20 festivals before it was acquired and released through Gravitas Ventures. Amber is a member of the inaugural “See It Be It” Fellowship with the Geena Davis Institute, Bentonville Film Festival where she will soon direct her next feature, BUDDY. Holding an MFA in directing from Baylor University, Amber is also an accomplished theatre director and recently married her film and theatre skills to create the one-of-a-kind film adaptation of the hit musical, ANIMAL WISDOM. Amber has extensive experience in the e-learning space where she worked as an award winning Project Manager, Writer, and Director for WILL Interactive for nearly a decade, championing soft skill behavior change for clients such as the US Army, the Department of Health and Human Services, the Department of Justice, the US Navy, and the Department of Agriculture (to name a few). She has also produced content for the Kennedy Center Honors.
