I have always been fond of art and creativity, and really appreciated the process of creating art. There is no better feeling that you get when a work has been completed after pouring your heart and soul into it. I started out my college career unsure and lost, previously a psychology major. My very first semester of college, through a beginning oil & acrylic painting class, I discovered just how much I loved art. I continued to take courses toward my degree but tried to scatter as many art electives I could. That’s when I decided to switch my major to Art. I finally felt like I was working toward this long term goal of something I loved and enjoyed. When I got to the end of my Associates degree, that’s when I discovered Graphic Design. It’s truly like all of the puzzle pieces fit together, and I had finally found something I could do for the rest of my life. I have learned so much through the courses I’ve taken at Clovis Community College and Fresno State University and continue to expand my experience and portfolio. I look forward to the challenges that have yet to come in my career.
