I currently work at Laureate Institute of Brain Research; acquiring both functional images with fMRI and structural images with MRI. At LIBR, we image the brain with fMRI for research purposes that can identify regions linked to critical functions such as speaking, moving, sensing, or planning. I also setup other measures of brain physiology such as electroencephalography (EEG) for the goal of aiding in data analysis. Functional MRI (fMRI) imaging helps detect correlations between brain activation and can use a task the subject performs during the scan. I explain the process, address any concerns or questions, and obtain relevant medical history to ensure safety of the scan for each subject, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
