I have discovered my life's purpose, and that is to help others. So I've been helping people any chance i get, in any and every way i can. It could be random acts of kindness, financial help, or even just talking to someone. I am also an a artist. I love creating something out of nothing. There's a certain magic that comes with creating something beautiful and sublime with your own two hands. It's a very empowering feeling.In addition to artistic imaginativeness, I also have Borderline Personality Disorder. I feel that having BPD has taught my many things and helped me to have a more open, empathetic mindset. I've been very encouraged by it to help others, which I do regularly.Four years ago I started my first 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization to help educate, encourage, and support others with Borderline. It is a support group as well as a resource for knowledge about the disorder and other Mental Health issues. We offer those with BPD, and their loved ones, a safe, nonjudgemental place to belong. My support group was, and remains, the one and only Borderline Personality Disorder support group in the entire state of Wisconsin. I started a third nonprofit a few months ago. I named it Drawing the Line on Stigma and it will combine art and education to help end mental health stigma.Being a person with Borderline, I love challenges, and I enjoy diversity and chaos. There's something comforting about it. If we can't count on anything, at least we can count on the unexpected. I've experienced this predictable unpredictability often throughout my life. It has taught me to be more resilient. I believe that the more difficult, trying, nearly impossible situations you encounter in life, the quicker you recover from them the next time they happen. You may struggle, but it will get better. I welcome change. I embrace it. I love learning new things, new skills, and different ways of thinking. I love doing research on all kinds of subjects, exploring new ideas, and gaining knowledge. It really helps you appreciate things, opens you up to new perspectives, and expands your mind.
