Over the course of one year the coffee shop’s daily sales doubled and finally turned a profit for the first time in three years. Through social media and marketing, I was able to expand our customer base. I also started a successful catering service for businesses that needed coffee service on location. The catering service also provided an espresso bar for special events like weddings and some community events around the Grand Rapids area. Our business built strong relationships with the community through our consistency and excellent product. I was able to train employees well and establish higher standards that helped the business run much more smoothly.
