I am a makeup artist, beauty blogger and personal care mentor for women of color. I show women who are African American, Latinx, Asian, Native American and Pacific Islanders how to care for their skin from the inside out. When my clients use my products and services they experience a lifetime of flawless beauty, feel better on the inside and look better on the outside. They are less stressed and have mental clarity. They are able to take their careers to the next level and get the most out of life. My clients walk away with a personal care plan of action and value themselves more. In the end, my clients understand that attention to beauty is attention to health.

I assist in the training and education of all members of the UAlbany community around topics of diversity, inclusion, intercultural fluency, and multicultural competency. With the help of 30 paid scholar staff members, I expand and enhance existing initiatives within multicultural programs and services. I also serve as secondary advisor for cultural, spiritual, gender and sexuality based affinity groups. I assist the director of Intercultural Student Engagement in administration of diversity and inclusion workshops including UACCESS, NCBI, and Safe Space workshops.

I host Motives Cosmetics events in Chicago to meet and chat about beauty from the inside out, while also teaching others how to earn a substantial income in the business of beauty!

I own an internet franchise and serve as a social shopping consultant. I identify and develop relationships with health professionals, salons, spas, fashion designers, freelance makeup artists/estheticians or even entrepreneurs who are well-connected and focused on wellness, nutrition, cosmetics and personal care. My niche is identifying manufacturers that have the hottest, most science driven products to offer to modern day consumers and establishing the conduits to move them into the marketplace. I serve as a liason in introducing an individual's or business' needs to a solutions provider. We are always evolving and capitalizing on building share of customer; by leveraging our social influence, a strong web presence, and providing consistent, quality personal service.

I worked for an grant funded Upward Bound program helping high school students make better decisions about the colleges they decided to attend and helped boost their ACT scores to increase their opportunities of being accepted by their chosen higher education institution. This particular role included assisting the Director of the program in planning and structuring events, monitoring student behavior and academic excellence. I also served as the lead writer for the 2012 grant proposal.

Contribute informative posts on health and beauty for a diverse readership. During my time with the company, I increased the companies visibility by 100+%, increased page views and number of pages viewed, and lowered the bounce rate of the site by providing search engine optimization consulting and funneling keyword optimization throughout posts. I served as an ambassador for the brand as well as the cause by promoting the publication and events through social media.

I managed the brand of makeup artists, fashion stylists, hairstylists and other glam pros who develop the image of public figures, entertainers and rising stars by use creative marketing solutions to build their visibility. Polished & Pressed was a Chicago based full service image agency that provided hair makeup, wardrobe and prop styling within the entertainment and advertising industries.

I supervised Summer Peer Counselors (a live-in position similar to a Resident Assistant). Assisted in the registration process for students' classes, verifying that they have meet university deadlines for paperwork. I lead workshops on the first-year experience to help students successfully transition from high school to college. I counseled students one-on-one regarding academics, financial aid and personal concerns. I advised a diverse population of underrepresented students. I also co-coordinated developmental seminars for at-risk students.
