I led the global team responsible for building and protecting the reputation of one of the world's most iconic companies. This included everything from CEO communications and proactive thought leadership to issues management and crisis communications. Shaping the company's turnaround story was a hugely exciting and rewarding part of my daily job, as was telling the narrative of how LS&Co.’s complex global supply chain was leading in areas such as sustainability and innovation. It was an energizing challenge to get those stories out into the world (check out Project F.L.X. or the Worker Well-being Program for starters). It was some of the best work of my career, an incredible learning experience and a heck of a lot of fun.

I was an American expat living in London and commuting to Brussels for my job (a big fan of the Eurostar!). In this role I was responsible for leading Corporate Affairs for the Europe, Middle East and North Africa region. This included Corporate Communications, Internal Communications, Crisis Communications (ask me about my role in the company's decision to ban sandblasting in our supply chain), Community Affairs, and Executive Communications (including CEO during visits to the region).

Established and led internal corporate communications function during one of the most transformational periods in Yahoo!'s history. Guided pan-European team to deliver creative, effective and scalable communications. Created integrated communications strategies spanning crisis communications, brand reputation, thought leadership and issues management. Advisor to senior executives across the globe.

Successfully established International Technology PR function to drive reach and awareness in 20+ international markets. Built and executed communications strategies to strengthen Yahoo!'s technology brand among key influencer communities. Brought together decentralized teams across multiple markets and cultures to achieve goals of Tech PR program. Developed messaging and positioning platforms, thought leadership media strategies, internal change initiatives and high profile events.

Helped brand Gap Inc. as a great place to work both inside and outside the company. Managed complex, companywide programs to engage, inform and inspire more than 150,000 head office and field employees worldwide. Established European corporate/internal communications function to support EU leadership and product strategies.

Managed account teams for major technology and consumer brands. Directed media strategies aimed at building awareness, thought leadership and brand reputation.

Supported account teams with press material development, b-roll production, media relations, event planning and marketing for major brands including Wal-Mart, Hewlett-Packard and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
