Recruited to serve as the first woman President & CEO of the largest chamber in Pima County, I tirelessly advocated for businesses to connect them to one another, reduce barriers to doing business, and to create an ecosystem for workforce development to thrive. Leading a 125-year-old organization required innovative solutions to grow relevancy, impact and financial stability necessary to thrive for another 125 years. • Recruited to serve as the first woman President & CEO of the largest chamber in Pima County. • Provided strategic direction both operationally and politically as a business advocacy organization. • Led staff through EOS process and created values, core functions, and value proposition resulting in a 90% membership retention.• Grew profitability by 16% in the first year.• Right sized the organization by 50% and realigned departments to best fulfill the mission of the organization. • Evolved workplace culture, created accountability metrics for each team member and shifted mindset to a goal-oriented, team-driven staff that led to higher performance and significant improvements in morale measured quarterly. • Financially reduced liabilities in 2019 resulting in chamber sustaining through Covid-19 despite not receiving federal financial assistance until 2021 due to tax classification. • Post pandemic, increased profitability and built a strong balance sheet. • Transitioned from the organization after leading strategy planning sessions that resulted in completion of a Strategic Plan to create even stronger financial health, increased relevancy and a 5-star Chamber accreditation renewal.

Recruited to serve as Government Relations Director. Promoted two years later, elevated stature and influence of membership-based organization to develop a community leader role that interacted on a regular basis with the membership, heads of major business advocacy organizations, City and Town Managers, Mayors and Council Members across Pima County to address land use and economic development issues. Operationally, grew annual budget by 50% in less than 4-years. Mission based, facilitated hundreds of stakeholder meetings bringing various groups together to create solutions to land use public policy concerns resulting in community wide cost reductions.
