Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri’s Chief Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer (CDEIO) elevates and empowers the diversity, equity, and inclusion work of the organization. The CDEIO creates the vision for DEI at Girl Scouts and leads the development of the strategy for the organization along with overseeing the implementation and assessment of that strategy.Reporting to and partnering with the CEO, the CDEIO works collaboratively with all staff to establish Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri’s vision and approach to DEI work both internally and externally. In collaboration with Girl Scouts, volunteers, staff and leadership, the CDEIO ensures that this vision is fully aligned with Girl Scouts USA’s mission, strategy, and values today and well into the future.In partnership with GSEM’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee, the CDEIO is responsible for fostering a climate and culture at Girl Scouts that supports growth and development, access, and opportunity for both staff as well as every girl that comes through the Girl Scouts program portfolio. The CDEIO serves as the primary driver and facilitator fostering an atmosphere and culture that is attractive and welcoming to all, with particular focus on those who have historically been underrepresented at Girl Scouts.

As the DEI Specialist for Nestle Purina's US-based headquarters, I:− Developed and executed DE&I department's communications strategies and processes− Cultivated cross-functional partnerships to amplify DEI initiatives− Identified gaps and streamlined processes for DEI programs and initiatives; led workgroups to revitalize key departmental programs− Designed and facilitated DEI trainings and listening sessions− Developed and maintained materials and online resource hubs for education of Purina associates, including SharePoint site− Collected and analyzed data to inform organizational DEI agenda

− As a member of BHGH's headquarters leadership team, directed network-wide delivery of college preparation programming via:o Delivery and development of in-person, video-based, e-learning, and written training programs and processes for network staffo Analyzing effectiveness of existing curriculum, processes, and programs; identifying process improvements to improve workflows, system communications and efficiencieso Monitoring, evaluating, and reporting on affiliate-based and network-wide academic and college-related student outcomeso Translating data into user-friendly reports and dashboards, utilizing tools such as Power BI, Excel, and PowerPointo Creation of student tracking, data collection, and data analysis tools− Manage international scholarship program, which includes:o Developing streamlined application system and processes using Salesforce and Formstacko Reviewing applications and making award decisionso Overseeing disbursement of total annual scholarship budgeto Analyzing data to project future scholarship budget and utilization rates
