12 week long intensive training course. Covers full-stack web development (Ruby on Rails, Javascript, Node, Express, SQL and noSQL databases).Attending GA was one of the most rewarding and challenging experiences of my life. I knew I was ready to dive into code, but I wasn't prepared for how whole-heartedly I would love the work. I enjoy thinking through and constructing database relationships as well as rendering information in a creative front end design. I'm excited to continue developing these skills in my career going forward.

On the Allocation Team, I evolved inventory management and distribution strategies in order to better serve our clients, while using client data to drive decision making and meet business objectives. Due to my interest in web development, I pushed to partner with engineering whenever possible.► Conducted analyses to better understand business trends.I queried client data using both Postgres and Redshift to project ship assortment and success rates of certain product, as well as set the allocation strategy to meet varying regional demands.► Collaborated cross functionally to evolve merchandising operations.I worked with Engineering to incorporate FedEx data and streamline our methods for tracking shipments, as well as the Vendor Compliance team to develop and troubleshoot a new chargeback process.► Developed tools to streamline processes and increase work efficiency.I automated weekly key business reporting into a single document, eliminating hours of repetitive data entry and analysis. I also created a tool that tracks vendor health metrics so the Buying team can effectively communicate with vendors on areas for improvement.► Designed models to increase business visibility and improve strategy.I built a model to balance inventory between our warehouses using client demand data. Additionally, I created a tool that tracks inventory movement week over week on a granular level, which is used by the planning team to accurately set replenishment strategies.

As an intern, I assisted with daily operation for the forecasting team. I researched and reviewed current technological advances in the automotive industry, as well as created excel reports documenting vehicle configurations for use in determining residual values. I was responsible for projects such as consolidating vehicle data across decades, mapping historical data values to a new system, and creating a presentation outlining redesigned models. In addition, I completed various forms of data entry.

As an intern, I learned how financial and business metrics are utilized in operational decisions. I worked with recurring reports displaying movements in business metrics in order to model the company’s overall health. My responsibilities included analyzing and cross-referencing large datasets to identify fluctuations in customer behavior, as well as modeling trends through pivot tables and varying data visualizations. I created dashboard reports of summarized data and presented them to the Business Intelligence Team.

As Student Lead, I was an acting supervisor for the Transportation and Guest Services Department at UC Santa Barbara. I worked directly with the Guest Services Coordinator and Parking Representative to organize and efficiently run on-campus events. My responsibilities included distributing and recording departmental funds for permit sales, overseeing and directing up to 12 employees at a given time, and collecting parking permit data in order to improve campus parking across 38 lots.

I danced ballet at a professional level for 14 years of my life. I attended intensive programs with companies in Boston and San Diego, and traveled to perform in Texas with my ballet company. I was the youngest member of my academy to be promoted to a company level. The dedication this took from such a young age has shaped my work ethic as an adult.
