In the past I felt torn between Creative and Behavioral/Strategic work. My brain wants both to feel good. Luckily, today I don't have to choose. I'm a lifelong student of the mind and it's inner workings, and an understanding of the human condition forms the foundation of all of my creative brand work - and I love working with real, authentic humans who value my unique approach. No asset, logo, website, sales deck, or pitch deck means a thing unless it meets people where they are. This means looking at people's motivations, wounds, beliefs, previous life experience, and biases to understand how they experience the world and the messages being directed toward them. I love sussing this out, and then letting the creative amplify it to life. After pursuing a career in education and curriculum development, the entrepreneur in me led me outside of the classroom. I've always excelled at extracting and communicating complex information, and my unique journey with AS and chronic back issues led me into cannabis - as a patient and an entrepreneur. After a decade of BS in the western medicine arena, I said no more, and have spent years reclaiming my natural health. My mind works in cannabis, but so does my heart. I've been lucky enough to work with a variety of companies, from 2 person start-ups to publicly traded MSOs. Today I am the Co-founder and Chief Strategist for Align Ops Group -a data-directed team of cannabis nerds who plan, expand & troubleshoot for high-performance cannabis & hemp operations, with 14 years in cannabis. I also take on select freelance projects in the cannabis industry and other alternative health arenas.If you value a highly psychological approach to reaching your audience, let's collaborate.. If I had a megaphone, I'd yell these things:• With complicated material that the brain doesn’t expect, thinks it already knows, or is biased toward disbelief, traditional marketing techniques often don't work. Here we should be anticipating biases based on past experience, drawing attention to the unknown while relating to the human experience of weariness, overriding the brain's natural reliance on existing schema, and helping people emotionally regulate around new information that will catalyze the desired outcome.• Branding and marketing are one inseparable unit. Proactive, purposeful design will set long term growth initiatives and cross-functional strategies up for success. All branded assets should translate meaning, conveying the product’s essence and connecting emotionally with consumers. Imagination gives dimension to brands.
