Senior Service Designer

• Formed and executed a research plan to understand the people and processes an existing application supports. Balanced just enough understanding of needs, roles, and processes with quickly identifying actionable high-priority problems to solve first. • Identified and Synthesized 110 needs across 4 teams, 8 priorities the team tackled first, 18 shared needs across multiple offices, 16 team-specific requests, and 3 high-level objectives all teams shared. • Designed and facilitated a workshop that focused 4 teams on solving 3 shared objectives. This helped the teams align around top priorities, and empathize with each other's needs. This work guided the project's prioritized backlog. • Shared with client teams 17 opportunities that could quickly be moved to development, 11 needing UX design, and 4 larger requests the team-created project plans for resulting from the workshop. • Kept the priority of the 4 client teams at the center of the project by facilitating backlog reviews, additional discovery sessions and requirement-gathering meetings that turned requests into actionable user stories for the team to review during sprint planning. • Facilitated an understanding of the people, roles, and processes of the 4 client teams by creating artifacts for our team to use including a journey map, workflow diagrams, and stakeholder map. • Collaboration with Data Science Practice to create a plan to address data cleansing needs in future iterations of the work. • Collaborated with a Data Scientist to run Python code that extracted key words to support a crucial workflow for 1 client team. • The positive responses from all 4 client teams, and needs identified through the project resulted in a 3 month extension. • When asked to rate their experience with our team over the year long project 11 out of 11 client participants gave our team a rating of Excellent (5 out of 5)

This survey also served as a tool for building a research pool. • Synthesized 200 survey responses into 3 customer segments with 16 views of the data per segment, 17 views of the data comparing current and past users. After discussion, and a bit more analysis, we arrived at 1 segment to focus on. • Crafted and conducted journey mapping interviews. Met with 7 musicians, identified themes through debrief sessions with a cross-functional team.• Mapped 5 journeys from interviews, synthesized journeys into 7 common phases and identified 2 most important moments for users. • Created one short story video with napkin-style illustrations to communicate the shared journey of current users. • Communicated findings through 15 multi-clip reels highlighting discoveries and each journey phase. • Documented 19 video clips of the leading reason for using the service, 26 clips of other needs the service meets, and 5 clips of the most memorable experiences for users to be used for communicating the value of the service to investors.• Offered the team recommendations for growth in the UX discipline, offering suggestions and sharing best practices that applied to the work they were doing. • Had a blast getting to know the team and their market!
