As the VP of Capacity Building at USDN, I lead the strategic design and implementation of collaborative learning programs that equip local government practitioners with the tools and insights needed to drive meaningful change. My role demands a deep understanding of political dynamics and diplomacy, enabling me to work effectively with a broad spectrum of stakeholders, from elected officials and federal policy analysts to frontline service organizations. By fostering cross-sector collaboration and innovative learning opportunities, I help empower local government leaders to advance equity, resilience, and sustainability in their communities, generating tangible impact in the fight for a just and sustainable future.

Manage the collaborative design and implementation of USDN learning programs to help local government practitioners become more effective change agents who generate impact in the movement toward an equitable, resilient, and sustainable world.

The City of Asheville’s Office of Sustainability works to help achieve the City’s ambitious carbon mitigation and climate resiliency goals while also focusing on equity and climate justice. The Office also focuses on sustainability initiatives within all departments across the city to integrate sustainable design, technology, and practice into municipal operations, infrastructure and services.

Develops strategies to improve efficiencies, minimize negative impacts, and ensure stewardship within the County’s operations and the environment as a whole.

Manage, plan, organize and promote environmental outreach programming including non-traditional recycling events, DeKalb County’s curbside recycling program, volunteer programs, and community improvement projects for the public. Executive Director for Keep DeKalb Beautiful, Inc. Oversaw board management and advisement on program planning, industry procedures, and new ideas about how to fulfill the purpose of the Corporation.

Served as lead grant administrator in the development and implementation of environmental programs preventing, controlling and/or abating non-point sources of pollution.
