TLDR: I want to help those with mental health issues, as well as a specialization in helping women with trauma. I am an excellent artist, both on paper and digital, typically abstract in style. I am open to other forms of creative work, such as flyers or advertisements. I've always found art to be a way of escape for myself, ever since middle school. For ~10 years, I've been developing my technique in ways to translate my emotions, feelings, and thoughts onto paper.Additionally, I'm an excellent active listener. I've always found myself to be very empathetic, to others and myself. Having dealt with mental health issues myself for years, also witnessing others, I understand the stigma surrounding mental health, the disparities that plague our American healthcare system, and the disordered logic your brain creates to keep you powerless against your illness in an incessant toxic loop, preventing you from seeking professional help. I would like to help others the way I wanted help at an impressionable age. Specifically, I am interested (not limited to) in the areas of disordered eating and depression. Another area of focus I am passionate about is women's autonomy, and mental health. Rape culture is as real as ever, and I witness it everyday. The goalpost is constantly being moved for women's expectations, and seemingly, are never able to reach it. As a feminist, I want to help women recognize unprocessed trauma they have experienced in life, and help them. Whether it be sexual trauma, IPV, toxic relationships, parental abuse, being apart of the solution would be an honor.
