CurrentAs the first-ever Chief Communications Officer for the City of Palm Springs, lead the development and implementation of the City's strategic vision for internal and external communications. Serve as chief city spokesperson and strategic communications advisor to the Mayor, City Council, City Manager and executive team. In 2006, I opened the Coachella Valley bureau for City News Service-Southern California. I am a long-time member of the California Association of Public Information Officers, (CAPIO), the Public Relations Society of America, and a past president of Women Leaders Forum of the Coachella Valley. In 2011, I received the prestigious CAPIO Award of Excellence for the City of Palm Springs Desert Fashion Plaza Public Visioning Workshops and Measure J Ballot Public Education Outreach. In 2014, I was named "Woman of the Year" for Riverside County, Coachella Valley District 4 by Supervisor John Benoit.
