He has more than 22 years of experience developing project management strategies in conflict-sensitive and conflict transformation programming with international non-profit organizations in Sierra Leone. He served SFCG-Sierra Leone since 2000 and spearheaded the program’s country operations, new initiatives, and partnership ventures. His particular area of expertise centers on multi-stakeholder engagement in consolidating peace and reforming institutions. Significant example include coordination of a £2.2 million DFID grant to support civil society engagement in the electoral process in 2012, coordinating the first citizen security room in Sierra Leone working with over 9000 domestic observers A Sierra Leone national, Ambrose has served both national and international organizations, developing a deep and nuanced understanding of assistance to fragile and transitioning states. This includes experience leading projects in youth and women’s empowerment, elections observation, media professionalization, civic education and citizens’ security. Ambrose is a trainer, facilitator and team builder with extensive organizational and management skillsA leading civil society actor in Sierra Leone, Ambrose has extensive networks with community based organizations, civil society coalitions and NGO’s. He is a founding member and currently part of the strategic management committee of National Elections Watch (NEW) a coalition of over 300 civil society groups and NGO's working on ensuring transparent and accountable elections processes in Sierra Leone. He has coordinated numerous domestic observation missions in Sierra Leone, Liberia and Guinea. He is also a founding member and currently serves on the board of the Independent Radio Network (IRN) a network of 25 community and independent radio stations that subscribe to a code of conduct and working to protect and professionalize community and independent radios in Sierra Leone.
