I served as a Product Owner for the .com Strategy & Experience team at Optum. During my time at Optum, I oversaw the delivery and execution of Optum's Find Care provider look-up product that is live on over 15 Care Delivery Organization websites.

I interned at a global engineering firm in the HR department where I worked side by side with VP's and Directors to improve their succession planning process. I provided guidance in evaluating their direct reports and developing their high potential and high performing employees. I enjoyed this project the most because of the ability to learn from high level executives and the ability to grow and mold others. Pushing my colleagues to gain new experiences and success brings me strength and satisfaction in my work. During this internship, I also increased accuracy and efficiency in the HR department by creating process improvements through automation of information regarding salary grades, job codes, job titles, and salary structures. During the fall semester, I continued my internship recruiting, reviewing applicants, attending to position management, initiating pre-employment screens, and offers through Taleo. As a result of these experiences, and continuing my internship into the fall semester, I had the opportunity to enhance my skills in time management, communication, and problem solving.

As the Nursing Payroll Clerk, I performed clerical duties which included reviewing and entering employment changes in the University Workflow system, assisting in processing payroll corrections, pulling reports from the ELMS system for payroll close, updating position management records, date stamping and logging in forms as they are received, copying of orientation packets, filing and other duties as assigned.

Cambridge Investment Research, Inc. is an independent broker-dealer serving over 2,000 independent registered representatives nationwide. As the HR Intern, I have served as a liason between the group of 14 interns and the Next Step Program bringing them networking events with different levels of management and group volunteer opporutunities. I lead specific projects that improved Human Resources functions and made the iniative to find innovative recommendations to increase employee engagement at Cambridge.
